Dewees Island

Dewees Island is a barrier island community.  Listen to the cry of the sea gull or find a treasure on the beach as nature entertains you.  Just a few miles north of downtown Charleston, this environmentally sensitive 1206 acres barrier island is accessed by private ferry or boat.  Roads are sand and shell based with transportation around the island by electric vehicle.  Dewees Island is limited by covenants to 150 homesites.  With no gas stations, grocery stores or restaurants to disturb, owners and guests enjoy several miles of pristine beaches, a community center with guest suites, tennis courts, swimming pool, exercise facility, boat ramp and dock facilities.  An incredible experience, an island to yourself.
